HFO closed cell 2 pound spray foam is a high-performance, low-VOC closed-cell spray foam insulation product that sets a new benchmark in excellence with a GWP of 1.  Closed-cell spray foam insulation meets the criteria set by FEMA for resisting bulk water, making it ideal for use in zones prone to flooding and moisture.​ With a high R-value (R-6.8 per inch), its a Class II vapor retarder at 1.5" thickness. You can achieve an R-30 value with 4" of HFO Closed cell  spray foam.

The reaction used to create these products generates Carbon Dioxide to expand the foam. Carbon Dioxide has the lowest Global Warming Potential (GWP of 1). Since it is applied as a liquid and expands to fill every cavity, crevice and gap, creating a monolithic air-seal.

The International Building Code mandates that polyurethane spray foam be separated from the interior of the building by a 15 minute thermal barrier or other approved covering. No Burn Intumescent Coating has passed certified NFPA 286 over closed and open cell for 15 minutes thermal barrier requirement. It complies with the requirements of 2006 IBC Section 803.2.1 & 2009 IBC Section 803.1.2 and Section 2603.9 under Special Approvals for Thermal Barriers over Foam Plastics. This includes the requirement as an ignition barrier per AC 377, Appendix X. No Burn ignition barrier is applied directly to the foam and is a flat white finish. The product is water-based and can double as a prime coat. Painting over the Intumescent Coating is permitted, but it is recommended to use a water-based paint. The Intumescent Coatings cannot be tinted to a color like a paint.
